Pelle P Return to Sponsor Kip Regatta 2019
Swedish clothing company Pelle P return for a third year as title sponsor of Kip Regatta, which takes to the water on Saturday 11th and Sunday 12th May 2019 from Kip Marina.
The Pelle P Kip Regatta attracts boats and crews from all over the UK and Ireland to take part in the first major regatta of the Scottish sailing season and provides an exciting weekend of racing and entertainment which saw Pat Kelly’s RC35 ‘Storm’ celebrating in the sunshine after taking the coveted 2018 Overall Winner’s trophy.
Pelle P is the Swedish clothing company who specialise in high quality technical sailing gear, skiwear and leisure garments based on the lifestyle of Pelle Petterson and his accomplishments as a top-level sportsman. Pelle’s sailing career has given him two Olympic medals and dozens of World Championship medals in sailing races. He is a two-time challenger in the America’s Cup and the talented designer behind the iconic Volvo P1800 sports car famous for being driven by The Saint on TV!
The Pelle P sponsorship continues to add excitement to Kip Regatta and an increasing array of prizes for the winning boats and crews, including class prizes and high quality Pelle P sailing jackets for the overall winners.
Royal Western Yacht Club under commodore Ross Lang and his race team provide excellent racing throughout the weekend, while the infamous Pelle P Party at The Chartroom offers an opportunity for crews and skippers to relax and enjoy the best of Scottish & Swedish hospitality.
