RYA Scotland Joins Kip Regatta 2022

Kip Regatta 2022, the first ‘Major’ regatta of the Scottish sailing season, is delighted to announce that RYA Scotland has become a Major Prize Sponsor for the event, which takes to the River Clyde on Saturday 14th & Sunday 15th of May from Kip Marina and promises two days of exciting racing.

Already a designated event as part of Inverclyde’s ‘Meliora Festival’, RYA Scotland will offer amazing Class Prizes and an Overall Winner Prize that complements the prestigious silverware provide by race organisers Royal Western Yacht Club.

Kip Regatta provides exhilarating racing for sailors of all abilities and offers new skippers and boats a perfect introduction to racing in the beautiful west coast of Scotland and has race classes for IRC, CYCA and the usual array of one designs – Sigma 33, Sonata, Etchells and 707’s etc., plus a dedicated Sports Boats section.

Shore side The Chartroom Restaurant & Bar plays host to the après sail events with the legendary Shore Party on the Saturday night featuring live music from the amazing ‘Jimallywhy’. For the early riser, Café Riva provides a breakfast roll take away service on Sunday morning before the prizegiving in The Chartroom on Sunday afternoon.

For race entrants Kip Marina is providing special packages for hoisting, berthing and storage for boats both prior to and after the event and full details will be available with the Notice of Race and Entry Forms available from www.kipmarina.co.uk.
