Happy new year to you all, and we hope you enjoyed the festive period.
Please be advised that from 12th of January, dredging works will take place within Marina for up to eight weeks, operating seven days a week. This is a massive investment to improve depths and navigation throughout the marina.
The works will be carried out by Wyre Marine using the dredging vessel Wyre Estuary. they will start at the marina entrance, progressing toward the north end, moving back through the main basin including the hoist and fuel bay, before exiting via the channel. While every effort will be made to work around boats and pontoons, there may be occasions when vessels need to be moved. If you are visiting Kip during this period, please speak with Ian or Dan.
The works with final plough dredging to smooth any high spots will remove up to 25,000m³ of material. At times some of the channel buoys may be removed, so please stay mid channel and where you can, contact the marina office on VHF Ch 80 when leaving and entering the marina.
We appreciate your patience and understanding as Kip Marina continues to invest in improving your facilities, with the ongoing pontoon replacement, lighting, smart meters, and the new toilet facilities completed last year.
It is a good time to remind you of the “Refer-a-Friend” discounts that are available to bring new boats and customers to Kip — please speak with marina management for further details.
We thank you for your continued support and look forward to seeing you at our Berth Holders’ Evening in early June, dates times etc to follow.
Thanks again for your custom.
Kind Regards
Gavin McDonagh
Managing Director
