Haven Knox-Johnston Kip Regatta 2025

The first ‘Major’ of the Scottish racing calendar takes to the water from Kip Marina on 10th & 11th May 2025.

This year is a particularly special occasion as it marks the RWYC 150th anniversary

Offering the perfect start to sailing in Scotland or fine tuning your boat and crew for the forthcoming season, with the expert race management from Royal Western Yacht Club ensuring closely fought contests across the classes. Classes include IRC1 & 4, RC35, CYCA 3 & 5, Sigma 33, International Etchells, 2 Handed, 707’s and others. There are some superb prizes up for grabs from prize sponsors Helly Hansen, Gill, Kingfisher ropes, Tunnocks and others together with the prestigious RWYC silverware.

On shore, crews and visitors alike can enjoy the popular social events including the famous Saturday night Shore Party at Buckleys at the chartroom with live music into the small hours. New for this year will be a Friday Evening BBQ hosted by the Kip Marina team and McCaskies butchers. The prize giving ceremony will be on Sunday afternoon to recognise the winners and close off the event. There is a café and restaurant onsite for the hungry and anyone needing a curer!

Each year Kip Regatta has attracted a growing number of first-time entries and 2025 is the perfect year to plan on ‘doing the West Coast’ and enjoy the world class sailing waters of the Clyde for yourself.
