To ensure the continued safety of everyone we would ask you to comply with the following.
The safety of our staff, customers, and contractors is our prime concern with each of us playing their own part in making responsible choices to allow us to make progress.
We will regularly review these protocols to ensure best practice but, as well as the safety protocols we have instigated, we advise you to consider the use of gloves, face coverings and any sanitising or PPE products that befit your personal requirements.
Electrostatic Sanitising – we have invested in electrostatic spraying equipment which you will see being used by our staff across the marina both indoors and outdoors. These machines deliver high level disinfection and sanitisation across hard and soft surfaces, environments, and equipment, to reduce the risk of any cross contamination and be a key part of our ongoing safety plan.
Social Distancing – please always practice and maintain 2m social distancing throughout the marina.
Car Parking – When getting in or out of your car please ensure there is a 2-metre distance between you and others, wait in your car until others have passed if necessary.
Keep To The Left – please keep to the left on pontoons and use the finger berths to allow extra distance between yourself and others.
Give Way – give priority to those coming up the gangway ramps and exiting the pontoons and do not stop on the gangways.
Face Coverings – the use of face masks is now compulsory in Marina Reception & Chandlery and is advised throughout the marinas.
Marina Reception – access is limited to one person at a time and customers MUST wear a face covering. Please use the hand sanitiser supplied. There is a designated customer area within reception and please note there is no access to the Chandlery from reception.
Chandlery – customers MUST always wear a face covering within the Chandlery and follow the one-way system from the main door. Please use the hand sanitiser supplied, always wear a face covering and maintain social distancing of 2 metres.
Chartroom Restaurant – currently closed.
Trolleys – we have sanitising spray adjacent to the trolley park areas, but we advise the use of gloves
Access – handles, touchpads and exit pushes are cleaned on a regular basis but the use of gloves is advised.
Other Vessels – to minimise risk please do not access or touch other customers boats and their ropes, rails or other equipment. In the event of an emergency call marina reception on 01475 521485.
Overnight Stays – Updated guidelines state that from00.01 on 26/12/20 you may not stay overnight on board your vessel.
Toilets – limited toilet facilities are available for berth holders only and 2m social distancing must be observed. As this is a communal area a face covering should always be worn as appropriate. Sanitising hand gel is available at entry and exit of toilets. Shower facilities are now open for berth holder use only. At regular intervals, the toilets will be temporarily closed for cleaning. Although we are operating an enhanced cleaning schedule, we supply additional cleaning and sanitising supplies for customers use inside the toilets.
Refuelling – refuelling is by prior appointment only. Please contact reception and adhere to the strict social distancing rules in place.
Lifting & Launching – maintain a minimum 2m distancing from all staff and comply with the directions of the hoist team during operations – customers MUST wear a face covering during the operation.
PPE Disposal – please take any personal protection equipment away with you and dispose of it safely and considerately.

If any member of your household has presented with symptoms of Covid-19 then you are still required to quarantine for 14 days and you should therefore not attend the Marina.
If you exhibit symptoms of Covid-19 within 3 days of a visit to the Marina premises, then please inform us so we can then take the appropriate precautions.

Customers must wear a face covering at all times unless seated at a table.

Customer Update Thursday 2nd July 2020
Once again thank you to all our customers, contractors, and staff for their support during these unprecedented times, and we’re delighted at least now there is some return to ‘normality’ with today’s First Minister’s announcement.
This allows unrestricted travel for the purposes of leisure, so you may now visit Kip, Craobh & Fairlie Quay marinas from wherever you live.
The opening of holiday accommodation and second homes (without shared facilities) is also now allowed, which means you can now stay overnight on your boat. Please note our marina toilets are still restricted access to comply with safety guidelines and our shower facilities remain closed.
Social distancing measures are still essential and currently remains at 2m.
The compulsory wearing of face masks in shops begins next week and we continue to advise the use of face masks throughout our marinas.
Please behave responsibly, follow all public health & Scottish government advice and be sensitive residents of our rural communities. If we do not take appropriate care, we risk transmitting the virus to other remote locations.

Covid-19 Update 30th June
The Scottish Government has announced the continued phased easing of lockdown restrictions and the latest information and indicative dates are as follows.
From Friday 3rd July, travel restrictions will be lifted, therefore enabling travel to Kip, Craobh & Fairlie Quay Marinas to access your boat from wherever you are.
Self-catering accommodation and second homes (without shared facilities) will also be able to open on Friday 3rd July which implies that staying on your boat will now be allowed providing it is fully self-contained.
Please remember, as with previous lifting of restrictions, these dates and restrictions will not be confirmed until the Scottish Government announcement on Thursday 2nd July and therefore may be subject to change.

Covid-19 Update on Phase 2
Thursday 18th June 2020
There has unfortunately been very little easing of the current restrictions that directly relate to boating and sailing in today’s announcement however, the First Minister said that there will be more reviews throughout the next 3-week period.
Those advised to shield will now be able to take part in non-contact leisure activities such as angling, kayaking, and meet members of another household outdoors, up to a suggested maximum of eight in the group. Strict physical distancing of two meters must always be followed, and they should wash their hands for at least 20 seconds when they return home
People should continue to stay in their local area as much as possible and should not travel more than around five miles for leisure or recreation.
Staying overnight on a boat is still not possible.
Smaller retail stores with street access, but not shopping centres, can open from 29 June
Face coverings will be mandatory on public transport from Monday, 22 June
It had been hoped that outdoor spaces for restaurants and bars, beer gardens etc., could open, but there are no plans for that to happen yet although this may be one of the areas under review. At Kip Marina, Cafe Riva is open for take away food & coffee between 10am & 3pm daily.

Get Back On The Water Update

Once again thank you to all our customers, contractors and staff for their support during these unprecedented times, and we’re delighted at least now there is some good news on the horizon.
With the First Minister’s announcement today (28/05/20) of the easing of restrictions by moving to Phase 1 and with it, according to RYA Scotland, the ability to exercise specifically now including sailing and motor boating – albeit with the caveat only for those who live within a ‘reasonable distance’ of their boat.
RYA Scotland also state, “The Scottish Government have been clear, this is still a public health crisis and we are looking at an extension to exercise options, not a carte blanche return to boating.”

We will all be delighted to have the chance to get back to our boats and enjoy the world class sailing waters of the Clyde but please bear in mind, there are still many restrictions that apply in the Phase 1 guidance – the Government Guidance is available HERE
We would ask you to please bear in mind the following points relating to boats and boating:
You are currently advised to stay local to your primary residence to undertake leisure activities.
Leisure activities must only take place with members from your immediate household.
Current regulations say you cannot stay overnight on your boat.
