2012 calendar
Kip continues to be the "Premier " venue for Clyde racing for 2012; Clyde Cruising Club, Fairlie Yacht Club, Royal Western Yacht Club, Serpent Yacht Club, Royal Scottish Motor Yacht Club and even Strathclyde Police Recreation Association are all holding " Major Events" and Regattas from Kip Marina this season.

Fairlie Yacht Club. - Will again be running the Evening Points series racing throughout the summer starting on Wednesday 20th April, from Kip Marina.

Fairlie Yacht Club also runs the unique 2 venue Autumn Points Series which runs over a 6 week period from the 30th September, there are 2 races per
Sunday with the first 3 weeks being raced off Kip, with the whole fleet then moving south to race the last 3 weeks off Largs yacht haven. Entry forms and race information will be available later in the season.
In addition to racing, have a full programme of Events and Musters throughout the season.

Royal Western Yacht Club are the co-hosts of the "
Savills Kip Regatta" the first "Major " regatta of the season, which is held over the weekend of 19th-20th May, where racing is provided for IRC, CYCA, One Design, Sports Boat and White Sail.
Serpent Yacht Club primarily set up for the medical profession and those with a link, however tenuous to it. There evenings of revelry and laid back racing style are now "infamous".
Kip has long been associated with Scotland’s Premier motorboat club and has supported many of their events over the years.
The Royal Scottish Motor Yacht Club holds various "Musters" and events over the summer season and is the most pro-active powerboat club in Scotland.

The "
North British and Strathclyde Police Sailing Championships" are on from June 9th to 15th with some 25-30 boats expected to be competing.
Kip is the base for many of the Clyde’s race boats and is used to dealing with the quick turn around that is required to keep "race boats" up and running. Several on site contractors have been servicing and repairing racing boats for many years. Rigging, GRP repairs, Electrical and electronic engineers together with Kips hoist and crane staff offer you an unrivalled 7-day a week service.
